Young Arsalan makes mark in Cricket

Srinagar, Fab 03 (RNA): Bhat Arsalan (born on 02-11-2004) is an athletic all rounder hailing from Ganderbal town. At this young age he has made tremendous mark in cricket arena of Kashmir Valley and is well known for his all-round cricketing skills. He started to get serious into the game when his father gifted him first bat of his life and he became cricket fanatic. According to Arsalan he was not a good player of cricket and in between he switched his sport and start playing badminton. He has played a national in Badminton sport. Everything changed for Arsalan when he saw Rahil Sir ( coach of Ganderbal Cricket Academy) and his players practicing in the ground. He was so impressed that he start taking cricket seriously and his coach suggested him to pursue cricket as career citing his huge cricketing talent. Since then he never looked back and keep working hard. Arsalan got famous when he took 05 wickets and scored match winning 48* in the final of a local tournament in Ganderbal. His cricketing talent was widely acknowledged by the local players of the area and he start getting calls from big teams to play for them. Each passing day Arsalan is getting better and better. Arsalan has already 17 man of the match trophies under his belt and he was also adjudged man of the series in a major inter school tournament of the valley. He has played in every part of the Kashmir Valley and has represented his District and State many times. He used to be captain of his state and district level teams. Arsalan is already part of Amature Cricket Club (one of the top clubs of J&K) and is playing in J&K’s No. 01 league Burzahama Premier League where his performance has been exceptional and applauded by cricketing legends of Kashmir.

Arsalan got his big break when he was selected by JKCA for U-16 category to represent J&K but unfortunately due to his school examination he could not join. Sharing practice sessions with cricketing giants of Kashmir like Parvez Rasool, Manzoor Pandav, Abid Pathan etc is itself an achievement for 15 year old Arsalan. He is already a star and the day is not far when we see him playing for the J&K State.

Notable Performances

There has been lot of memorable performance but according to Arsalan he can not forget the knock he played at Anantnag in which he scored 69 runs and took 07 wickets. He single handedly won the match for his team and was adjudged man of the match.


Bhat Arsalan has played 03 district level tournaments as captain and 02 state level tournaments again as captain. He is only 2nd player of District Ganderbal after Sayim Mustafa to get selected by JKCA for State level championship. (RNA)
