Donald Trump State of the Union highlights: President Donald Trump delivered the State of the Union address from the podium of the US Congress at the Capitol Hill today. In his address, Trump touched a number of issues ranging from border wall to employment to announcing his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Trump announced that he will meet North Korea’s Kim Jong-un for a second summit on February 27 and 28 in Vietnam.

Calling for bi-partisanship, Trump said, “We must reject the politics of revenge, resistance, and retribution — and embrace the boundless potential of cooperation, compromise, and the common good.” Trump highlighted the “historic speed” with which his government has created new jobs for the youth.

On the border wall, Trump said that Congress has 10 days left to pass a bill to fund the government, protect its homeland and secure the southern border. “I will get it done!” he exclaimed, adding that the wall work and walls save lives. Trump ended his address by asking the people to keep America first and have faith in her destiny. (TIE)
